In this podcast I talk to my former Kung Fu teacher Shifu Brett Russell.

In a wide-ranging interview we talk about my journey from corporate marketing to completing a PhD on Organisational Creativity, teaching at university part-time and running my own business.

And the importance of exercise and finding something that you feel passionate about.

In my case I loved Kung Fu for its simplicity, exercise, self-defence and philosophy.

This was made easy by the expert teaching of Shifu.

We also cover the insights behind Speed Thinking and my latest concept Switch Thinking.

I try and give practical examples of how you can use Switch Thinking at work, home and in life.

The idea behind Switch Thinking was from watching bilingual people switch between different languages.

I wondered if you could learn to switch your language perhaps you could also learn to switch your thinking.

The good news is that you are already good at switching.

For example:

You can switch roles, places, outfits and conversation.

You can switch your concentration on and off.

So the idea of switching is something you are already good at.

My work can hep you take this existing capability and transform it into a super skill.

Most of all however Shifu and I talk about a positive attitude can help you at work, home and in life.

You are not bound by your past assumptions, beliefs and conventions.

You can change.
